Arjun Srivatsa is a postdoctoral scientist in bioinformatics and genetics at Stanford University, with a doctoral degree and undergraduate training in mathematics and computer science from Carnegie Mellon and Columbia. With over a decade of teaching experience, he has guided high school, college, and graduate students toward academic success in advanced mathematics, statistics, computer science, biology, chemistry, and test preparation.
Over the years, Dr. Srivatsa has tutored high school, college, and graduate students in advanced mathematics, statistics, computer science, biology, chemistry, and test prep (SAT, GRE, ACT, AP) endeavors. His specific experience spans individual and group/class tutoring of undergraduate and graduate students in advanced courses like machine learning, advanced algorithms, multivariate calculus, and organic chemistry. He has also tutored many students individually at the high school level, particularly in advanced placement and SAT/ACT exams; he aim to impart an understanding of the fundamental principles of the subject along with test-taking strategies to help his students rapidly see results.
Dr Srivatsa's approach to tutoring revolves around understanding the student's end goals, learning style, and problem areas. Most students work with us on an ongoing weekly basis — whether preparing for an exam, working through a course, or building toward a longer-term academic goal. For longer duration tutoring, package rates can be discussed during consultation.
We are available for tutoring sessions weekdays and weekends from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight).
We provide both online tutoring sessions and in-person tutoring throughout the Bay Area. For in-person sessions, we can meet you at public libraries or a location of your choice that works best for your learning environment. We are available at most cities throughout the greater Bay Area including but not limited to: Palo Alto, Los Gatos, Los Altos, Saratoga, San Mateo, San Francisco, Cupertino, Fremont, San Jose, Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon, and Walnut Creek.
